If you’re like me, you prefer to give thoughtful gifts and not something that will be thrown in the back of the closet, right? Well review these three tips and you’ll be one step closer to being the most thoughtful gift-giver ever! 😉 #1 – Keep THEIR personality in mind (not yours). The golden rule here is to think of what THEY would like – not what YOU would like. (That’s a shopping trip for another day.) Are they the fun-loving type that would enjoy a bright festive wine tumbler? Or the more reserved type who may prefer a set of notecards? Would they prefer something useful that fills a need? (Think custom kitchen towels that serve a purpose but are still personal); Or would they would prefer something pretty and unexpected? #2 – Consider their interests and hobbies. What do they do for fun? Is your friend a baseball mom? Maybe she’d like a personalized baseball cap for all those days at the ball field? ⚾🧢 It’s important to know their likes. For instance, don’t buy a custom beach towel for one who burns when she’s on the sand for more than 5 minutes. Likewise, if you’re shopping for a person who’s rarely home and always on the go, then chances are a gift for the home may fall flat. 😒 And remember that some people are finicky about having home décor purchased for them. So, you may want to reconsider purchasing something like wall art unless you know them reaaallly well. 😉👍🏻 #3 – Make the gift relate to a memory. A friend will ALWAYS appreciate a gift that reminds them of a special time that was had. Think of having a ceramic plate painted commemorating a trip the two of you took to a special destination. Or have a “best friend” ornament created that celebrates your friendship. Buy a unique handcrafted picture frame and put your favorite picture from a fun outing you had together. ♥️ As long as you put just a little thought into it, you’re guaranteed to end up with a memorable gift. If you simply keep their personality in mind, think of what they like to do in their leisure time or have it represent a special memory, you should be good to go.
